The Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) announced that it had made progress in establishing a plasma-farming facility (PFF) in Islamabad.
A delegation, which included Ahmed bin Dalmook bin Juma Al Maktoum, a member of Dubai’s ruling family, and Hayat BioTech’s Chief Operations Officer Naser Ali Khameis Alyammahi, visited Pakistan to discuss new ventures in the fields of health, vaccine, and research, such as plasmapheresis and investment in vaccine development in the country.
The delegation met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel, and others.
Sheikh Maktoum inaugurated a coordination office at the Regional Blood Centre in Islamabad, which will establish close liaison with the firm and the ministry.
The statement added that the delegation was willing to invest in plasma farming in Pakistan based on WHO standards, as the blood services in the country were provided mainly by hospital blood banks with no functional separation of the plasma processes into production and utilization.
According to Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel
According to Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel, Pakistan highly values its relations with the UAE, and collaboration between the two nations in the health field will greatly benefit the people of Pakistan.
Furthermore, He stated that the recent collaboration between the two states and the UAE’s special interest in the health agenda regarding reforms in blood banking services by setting up a plasma farming and harvesting facility in Pakistan would play a crucial role in delivering quality healthcare.
Sheikh Maktoum

Also, He added that the UAE is keen to invest in different sectors of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, particularly in the health field, as Pakistan and the UAE have laid strong foundations of mutually beneficial relations, friendship, and peaceful cooperation over the years.
