Nawaz Sharif says SC’s verdict is a solid charge sheet against the three-member bench

LONDON/ISLAMABAD: PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif that the decision of the Supreme Court on elections in Punjab is a solid chargesheet against the three-member bench of the apex court.

A reference will be filed against the Bandial-led three-member bench, he said.

Speaking from London, Nawaz Sharif said the SC bench suspended the ECP decision to postpone the elections. It is enough chargesheet to file a reference against them.

He said Justice Ejaz ul Ahsan and Justice Umar Ata Bandial were the same judges who disqualified him for lifetime.

PML-N chief said the SC judges re-wrote the Constitution in the past and no one felt ashamed or pitiful of the devastating decisions.

“What was the hurdle in forming the full court bench,” PML-N supremo asked.

He said, “If you try to protect such ‘corrupt’ judges like Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi, then there would be no sanctity of the judiciary.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz termed the decision the ‘murder’ of justice and an attempt to impose Imran Khan.

On March 22, The ECP Delayed Polls In Punjab And KP Citing Different Reasons. ECP Gave An 8 Oct Date To Hold Polls In Punjab And KP. The Chief Justice Restored President Dr Alvi’s Schedule Of Elections In Punjab And Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Chief Justice Said That The Constitution Does Not Allow The ECP To Delay Elections. The Court Also Said That In Punjab, Elections Will Be Held On May 14. The Court Directed The Federal Government To Provide 21 Billion Rupees To The ECP By The 10th Of April. The 3-Member Bench Disregarded

The Nine-Member Bench Of The SC Ended With A 3-Member Bench Which Announced The Decision On Tuesday. The Court Ordered To Ensure Fair And Free Elections In Punjab And Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Regarding KP, The Court Said That No One Represented The Governor Of KP In The Court, And The Hearing Of The Case Of KP Will Continue. Earlier, Secretary Defence Submitted The Classified Security Situation Report In The Supreme Court On Tuesday Morning Ahead Of The Announcement Of The Reserved Verdict Of The Apex Court. The Classified Security Report Cannot Be Made Public, Nonetheless, Judges Of The 3-Member Bench Can Read It To Assess The Security Threats And Reasons For the Non-Availability Of The Army For Polls.
