Meesha Shafi slams awards for harassers, says no to Hum Style Award

In a tweet, Meesha slammed the awards and management for actively enabling alleged harassers and giving them space.

Renowned female singer Meesha Shafi has slammed Hum Style Awards alleging that harassers have been given this award. The Hum Style Awards was held this past weekend and signalled Ali Zafar’s return to hosting after five years following a lengthy legal battle with Meesha Shafi over claims of harassment. Meesha Shafi, who is also among this award’s celebrity has expressed displeasure with the award ceremony.

In a tweet, Meesha slammed the awards and management for actively enabling alleged harassers and giving them space.

Meesha also said she didn’t need any validation from the channel, making it clear she wouldn’t be acknowledging any recognition or any accept any awards from organisations that are complicit in harassment.
