ISLAMABAD – A strange incident unfolded in the federal capital when a man climbed a mobile tower near Islamabad Club, drawing immediate attention from authorities and going viral on social media.
In the widely circulated video, the man can be seen perched at the top of the tower casually performing exercises—leaving onlookers both alarmed and baffled. As the video gained traction online, police and rescue teams rushed to the scene to respond to the potentially dangerous situation.
According to preliminary reports, the individual is believed to be a security guard, though he has refused to reveal his motives for climbing the tower. “We are still investigating the reasons behind his actions,” a police official said.
Rescue teams secured the area and engaged in dialogue with the man. After some time, a rescue official convinced him to descend, and he safely climbed down on his own.
Similar Incidents Reported in Karachi and Sindh
This is not the first time such unusual public stunts have been used to draw attention or protest.
In a recent case in Karachi’s Baldia Town, a man climbed an electric pole reportedly after being denied his share of property by his father. Police were able to safely bring him down after cutting off the power supply and negotiating with him.
In another bizarre incident from December 2022 in Kashmore, Sindh, a man named Nadeem Jamali scaled a high-tension electricity pole in an attempt to win back his estranged wife, who had filed for divorce. That episode also ended without injury, thanks to timely intervention by authorities.
These incidents highlight a growing trend of individuals turning to risky public displays to express personal grievances or distress, prompting calls for increased mental health support and social dialogue.
