In a distressing turn of events in Chichawatni, a man resorted to an appalling act amid a marital dispute, hurling his two daughters, aged 8 and 10, into a nearby canal.
While rescue services heroically managed to save the younger daughter, tragically, the elder one succumbed to the depths of the water.
Following the incident, law enforcement swiftly apprehended the perpetrator, Fahim Javed, and is currently investigating the incident. Javed, a resident of Kallar Kahar, found himself embroiled in a bitter disagreement with his wife, primarily revolving around maintenance allowance. Notably, his wife had taken legal action, filing a plea in court to secure the said allowance.
Meanwhile, in a harrowing incident that unfolded earlier on May 3 in Faisalabad, a man succumbed to desperation, ultimately ending his life after perpetrating a heinous act driven by financial woes.
The incident transpired in the quiet confines of the Gulshan-e-Madina Colony. The perpetrator, identified as 50-year-old Kazim Jawad, unleashed a wave of violence that claimed the lives of his two wives, as well as his four innocent children, comprising three daughters and a son, before tragically taking his own life.
Initial police reports shed light on Jawad’s rationale, attributing his drastic actions to the relentless business setbacks and the mounting burden of debt that had plagued him.
Prompted by the sound of gunshots, vigilant neighbors swiftly alerted the authorities, prompting a rapid response from law enforcement. Subsequently, the bodies were respectfully taken into custody by the police and subsequently transferred to the hospital for thorough post-mortem examinations.
