ISLAMABAD: Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim has commended the Pakistan Armed Forces for their significant role in promoting regional peace and stability, recognizing their professionalism and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
In a meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, Prime Minister Anwar stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in the military domain, between the two brotherly nations. He invited General Munir to visit Malaysia to further enhance these relations.
General Munir expressed his gratitude for the invitation and praised the success of the Prime Minister’s visit to Pakistan, noting that it would contribute to deepening the long-standing and historic ties between both countries and their armed forces.
Malaysian PM Awarded Nishan-e-Pakistan
Earlier, in a special investiture ceremony, President Zardari conferred the Nishan-e-Pakistan, one of the country’s highest civil awards, on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The award was in recognition of his support for Islamic causes and his enduring friendship with Pakistan.
During the ceremony, it was noted that Prime Minister Anwar is an enthusiastic reader of Allama Iqbal, whose works have served as an inspiration to him.

His leadership is characterized by a deep commitment to social justice and addressing global issues impacting the Muslim world.
