Pakistani poet Amjad Islam Amjad passes away at 78

Pakistan’s literary scene has produced works of art that will last till the end of civilization and has contributed to establishing Pakistan as a literary powerhouse.

Amjad Islam Amjad, a well-known Pakistani poet, and playwright died suddenly at the age of 78, leaving behind a body of timeless works and a deep effect on Pakistani literature and culture.

He was considered one of the finest poets and lyricists of his day, and he made substantial contributions to Pakistani literature.

Amjad Islam Amjad, who holds a master’s degree from Punjab University, was born in Sialkot on August 4, 1944.

He was a literary giant who authored brilliant plays, poetry, and criticism.

Throughout his remarkable career, he has garnered several awards, including the Pride of Performance and Sitara e Imtiaz. 

Amjad Islam Amjad wrote classic PTV dramas such as Waris, Barzakh, Waqt, Dehleez, and Din.

Amjad’s Death Cause

Amjad Aslam Amjad, 78, died away today from natural causes. 

According to family members, he died peacefully while sleeping last night.

He had a heart attack and died the next morning.

He left a legacy of millions of fans not only in Pakistan but throughout the subcontinent.

May Allah bestow upon him the greatest grades in Jannah!
