Justice Qazi Faez Isa snubs police for blocking traffic to give protocol to President Dr Arif Alvi in Islamabad: Video goes viral

ISLAMABAD: A senior judge of the Supreme Court Justice Qazi Faez Isa has snubbed policemen in Islamabad for blocking traffic just to give protocol to President Dr Arif Alvi.

A video of Justice Qazi Faez Isa has gone viral on social media in which he can be seen snubbing the police officials for unnecessary stopping commuters on road to accord protocol to Dr Alvi.

Explaining his video, Justice Isa said the video was filmed without his permission.

He said that while commuting to office in the morning of November 8; he saw several motorists stuck in traffic on Constitutional Avenue due to protocol of President Dr Arif Alvi.

Qazi Isa also stated that while commuting to work, he neither wears the court dress nor his guards on his security wear uniform.

Justice Isa said that due to the president’s protocol, several motorists were stuck in traffic, adding that free movement is the fundamental right of every citizen.

He also pointed out that in the same evening he was routinely walking back home after duty and he saw that one side of the same road was once again blocked just because of the protest by dozens of civil servants.

Qazi Isa said that as a common citizen he inquired about obstructions on the road from Islamabad police operations DIG and deputy commissioner (DC).

Justice Isa recalled that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also strictly prohibited closure of routes and always discouraged protocol for VIPs.

Justice Isa regretted that the Sunnah was being implemented in many foreign countries but not in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
