ISLAMABAD: Former PTI leader and ex-ATM of Imran Khan, Jehangir Khan Tareen held PTI responsible for arsons and attacks on Jinnah House and other military places on May 9.

Meanwhile, one more PTI leader and former federal minister Amir Mahmood Kiyani left the party today. He told the media that he had taken the decision two months ago, but announced it today.

Talking to the media persons in Lahore on Wednesday, Tareen called for unity and urged those responsible to reflect upon their actions.

Talking to the media persons in Lahore on Wednesday, Tareen called for unity and urged those responsible to reflect upon their actions.

He said, “People have been punished in the past for their wrongdoings, but never have we witnessed such despicable incidents”.

Jehangir Tareen said that the vandalization of Jinnah House, a historic landmark symbolizing the legacy of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah – is an “unthinkable act of destruction”.

“No one could have imagined that Jinnah House would be subjected to such devastation,” Tareen regretted.

Expressing his resolve, Tareen asserted, “We will not allow such incidents to occur again”.

Tareen added, “Those responsible for these incidents should face severe consequences”.

A day earlier, PTI MNA and chief of Sindh Moulvi Mahmood deserted the party. He said, “We can change political parties, but cannot change the army.”

He left the PTI in anger after the party’s involvement in a wicked campaign against the army and involvement in attacks on the military offices and installations on May 9.
