The Islamabad High Court and its subordinate courts have announced their summer vacation schedules, offering much-needed respite to judges, lawyers, and court staff during the hot summer months.
As per notifications approved by the chief justice, the Islamabad High Court will observe its summer vacation from July 10 to September 10. In contrast, the district courts East and West in Islamabad will begin their summer break slightly later, starting on August 1. The subordinate courts will have a shorter vacation period, ending their break on August 31.
The Registrar Office of the Islamabad High Court confirmed the issuance of these notifications and emphasized that urgent and emergency cases will continue to be heard throughout the vacation period, ensuring that essential judicial functions remain uninterrupted.
In related news, the Lahore High Court announced its summer vacation starting from July 1. Acting Chief Justice Shujaat Ali Khan signed the summer vacation roster, noting that important cases will still be heard during this four-week period.
Similarly, the Sindh High Court and its subordinate courts will observe their summer vacation from June 3 to August 3, as per a recent notification. During this period, a new roster of benches and judges will be in place to hear important cases. The Sindh High Court principal seat will operate with judges in three division benches and four single benches to handle these cases.
