India involved in terror attacks in Pakistan, says Interior Minister

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah blamed India for terror attacks in Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday, interior minister said that Indian footprints are seen in terror activities carried out in Pakistan.

He said that New Delhi’s activities have gone “beyond that of an enemy state” just to cover up its atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Rana Sanaullah said, “India woos the international community and then involves in terrorist activities in Pakistan to achieve its nefarious motives. We have clear evidence of Indian involvement.”

Additional Inspector-General Counter-Terrorism Department Punjab Imran Mahmood also accompanied Interior Minister at the press conference.

Meanwhile, AIG Counter Terrorism Department Mahmood said the blast incident was reported Johar Town, Lahore on June 23, 2021.

He said that 200-kgs explosive materials and a car were used in the blast which killed three people and injured 22. Two police officers also sustained injuries.

He said, “To date, no terrorist organisation has claimed the responsibility for the attack. Several cars and homes were also badly damaged in the blast.”

The CTD official said that the first character involved in the attack was Peter Paul David. He was identified through the vehicle and David supervised the operation.

“He was affiliated directly with two RAW agents — Ali Budaish and Bablu Srivastava, who were providing funding to him,” the CTD official said.

Similarly, Sajjad Hussain was an assistant of David and he facilitated in the Johar Town blast. Sajjad Hussain destroyed the cellphones used to communicate for the explosion.

The evidence collected in the case showed that India was involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan, he added.
