Imran Khan sends Rs 10 billion legal notice to Dr Rizwan Taj

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan today sent a legal notice of Rs 10 billion to Dr. Rizwan Taj.

Dr Taj was sitting with the Federal Health Minister Qadir Patel when they discussed Khan’s medical report, claiming he (IK) was drug-addicted, consumes alcohol and cocaine.

Barrister Mohammad Ahmed Pansuta Advocate sent the legal notice to Dr. Rizwan Taj on behalf of Imran Khan.

Former Premier has demanded an unconditional apology from Dr Rizwan.

Meanwhile, a day earlier, PTI chairman sent a legal notice to Health Minister Qadir Patel, demanding Rs 10 billion defamation amount.

Former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan today sent a Rs 10 billion defamation notice to Health Minister Qadir Patel for malicious propaganda against him.

Health Minister Qadir Patel’s allegations

A few days ago, Health Minister Qadir Patel addressed a press conference in which he claimed that the medical report of Imran Khan indicates that he consumes cocaine and alcohol.

Imran Khan, however, has negated the assertions of Qadir Patel and sent him a defamation notice through his legal consultant _ Crown Law Chambers.

Moreover, Imran Khan has asked Qadir Patel to detract his claims, tender an apology publicly, and pay Rs 10 billion as defamation charges within 15 days of receiving the notice.

In case of failure, Imran Khan will initiate legal proceedings against Qadir Patel.

Patel said the medical examination of Imran Khan was carried out at PIMS hospital when the Rangers arrested him in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.
