A professional gang involved in luring women with false job offers and subsequently sexually assaulting them has been apprehended by Lahore police.
Authorities successfully rescued a woman and her nine-month-old daughter, who had fallen prey to the gang’s deceptive scheme.
According to police reports, the gang, led by suspects Ayesha (alias Iqra), Usman, and Naeem, targeted a woman from Kahna. They persuaded her to travel to Murree under the guise of securing a lucrative job. Upon her arrival, the group took her baby hostage and sexually assaulted her.
The victim’s husband, alarmed by their sudden disappearance, filed an abduction report at the Kahna police station.
SSP (Investigation) Dr. Anush Masood stated that after an intense investigation, police managed to locate and rescue the mother and child, leading to the arrest of the three suspects.
“The suspects lured the 20-year-old woman and her daughter to Murree under the pretence of a job offer,” the SSP revealed.
It was also disclosed that the arrested individuals have admitted to committing similar crimes against other women seeking employment. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities committed to uncovering the full scope of the gang’s activities and bringing all accomplices to justice.
