Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has unveiled an interest-free loan program worth Rs2 billion to assist professional students, allowing them to obtain loans of up to Rs1 million each. The announcement was made during the sixth convocation ceremony of the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar.
Addressing the graduates, CM Gandapur expressed his hopes that the students would become self-reliant and actively contribute to the nation’s development. He also emphasized that his government is committed to making educational institutions self-sufficient, transforming them into national assets.
The convocation ceremony celebrated the achievements of 130 female graduates, with CM Gandapur personally presenting degrees to 62 of them. Additionally, several top-performing students were honored for their academic excellence. Six students were awarded gold medals, while another six received silver medals for their outstanding achievements.
The ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister for Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi, faculty members, the university administration, and the graduates’ families.
In his speech, CM Gandapur encouraged the graduates to learn from the past, excel in the present, and strive for a bright future, leaving a lasting impact on history.
