Four men were found dead from gunshot wounds in Nushki district of Balochistan on Tuesday, in what authorities are treating as a targeted attack.
Responding to the incident, the Levies Force reached the site and secured the area before shifting the bodies to Nushki Teaching Hospital for examination and identification. Medical personnel later confirmed that all four victims were residents of Punjab.
Two of the deceased, identified as Moeen, son of Ghulam Mustafa, and Huzayfah, son of Muhammad Latif, were originally from Pakpattan. The remaining two, Imran Ali and Irfan Ali, both sons of Maqsood Ahmed, hailed from Rahim Yar Khan.
Levies officials stated that unknown assailants were behind the killings. The crime scene was cordoned off as investigators collected evidence and initiated a forensic investigation. Authorities are also seeking information from local sources to determine how the victims ended up in the area and whether they were targeted for a specific reason.
Preliminary reports suggest that the men died from gunshot wounds and may have been subjected to additional violence, though the full extent of their injuries will be confirmed following autopsies.
Law enforcement agencies have launched an in-depth investigation to ascertain the motives behind the attack and to identify those responsible. The incident has raised concerns about security in the region, particularly regarding the safety of non-local laborers and travelers.
