Fitna al-Khawarij Commander Killed in Lakki Marwat Operation

LAKKI MARWAT: In a targeted operation, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and local police killed Fitna al-Khawarij commander Inam in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as reported by ARY News.

The joint operation was launched following intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area, specifically targeting the local commander of Fitna al-Khawarij.

During the encounter, Inam, also known as Sarh Lumba, was killed. Security forces have since initiated a search operation to capture any fleeing militants.

Earlier, on September 7, security forces successfully thwarted an attack on the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Mohmand district. The assault involved four suicide bombers linked to Fitna al-Khawarij, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). The ISPR stated that the attack was effectively repelled, resulting in the deaths of all four attackers before they could inflict harm.

A sanitization operation is currently underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the area. The ISPR reaffirmed the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate terrorism from the country.

In a separate incident, five terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces at the Surkhab refugee camp in Pishin district.
