Faisal Vawda Claims Imran Khan Had Foreknowledge of Arshad Sharif’s Killing

In a startling revelation, former federal minister and senator Faisal Vawda has accused Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), of having prior knowledge about the assassination of journalist Arshad Sharif.

Vawda made these allegations during an appearance on Samaa TV’s program Nadeem Malik Live, asserting that Khan was aware of “something big” set to happen before Sharif’s death on October 23, 2022.

Vawda disclosed that Imran Khan had expressed a desire to hold a meeting on the very day Sharif was killed, suggesting a potential link between the two events.

Additionally, he alleged that PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur, who had previously threatened Khan, had indicated that a significant incident was imminent.

According to Vawda, PTI’s Murad Saeed informed him about a planned assassination of Arshad Sharif around August 16 or 20, 2022—an alert that, he claims, was unknown to intelligence agencies at the time.

Vawda asserted that he possesses substantial evidence to support his allegations and has provided this information to the program’s producer.

The former minister also mentioned that he is conducting a forensic analysis of audio evidence, which he claims implicates key figures within PTI and suggests involvement by former military officials Faiz Hameed and Nadeem Anjum. Vawda raised questions about Murad Saeed’s continued absence since the incident, hinting at Saeed’s possible involvement.

Predicting severe legal consequences for those implicated, Vawda claimed that both PTI and Faiz Hameed would eventually face significant repercussions.

His accusations have sparked intense debate and scrutiny, further complicating the already tumultuous political landscape in Pakistan.
