ISLAMABAD: England cricket skipper Ben Stokes has announced donation of his entire fee of test matches series in Pakistan to help flood victims in the country.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has lauded Captain Ben Stokes’s goodwill gesture of supporting the flood hit people in Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz said, “We appreciate the kind gesture of England Captain Ben Stokes donating his fees of entire Test series for flood victims of Pakistan.”
The cricket team of England is currently in Pakistan to play a three-match Test series against Pakistan. The first test match is scheduled to take place on December 1.
The first Test match will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium while the second Test will be organized in Multan and the third and last Test in Karachi.
“Empathy for suffering humanity is the greatest of all virtues. His gesture epitomises the great British tradition of philanthropy,” the prime minister remarked.
