Class 8 Girl ‘Gang Raped’ By Two Classmates In School

Mumbai: Two boys are accused of sexually assaulting their 13-year-old classmate inside the classroom of their civic-run school, and the police have since filed a complaint against them, according to officials.

He stated that the incident happened on Monday, and Both the accused and the girl are in class eight.

Police Official stated: “The girl was sexually assaulted by her two classmates when their fellow classmates stepped out of the classroom for dance practice. The two accused indulged in the crime by taking advantage of the situation.”

“The incident left the girl in shock and she shared her ordeal with her family members, who immediately filed a complaint against the accused,” the Official said.

 Based on the complaint, the police filed a case against the boys under the relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 376 DA (gang-rape of a woman under sixteen years of age).

The young defendants were brought before a juvenile court, which detained them in south Mumbai’s juvenile detention facility.

The police stated that an additional investigation is being done.
