Chilled “Falsa Juice” claims life of young boy in rawalpindi

He took a glass of chilled “falsa juice” to quench his thirst and to feel cool, and comfortable. Unfortunately, soon after drinking juice he died instantly on the spot.

ISLAMABAD: A young boy lost his life in Chaklala area in Rawalpindi for merely drinking chilled juice of falsa (black currant). Thirty-two-year young boy, who was a resident of Chaklala, Rawalpindi, reached home amid sizzling weather two days ago.

He took a glass of chilled “falsa juice” to quench his thirst and to feel cool, and comfortable. Unfortunately, soon after drinking juice he died instantly on the spot. He was taken to hospital where doctors declared him dead due to sudden heart failure.

Doctors pointed out that an artery of heart shrinks when someone comes in home during scorching heat and drinks any chilled juice or water immediately. According to doctors, during sultry weather, when someone is entering home or office, he/she must wait for at least 10 minutes before drinking chilled juice or water.

Meanwhile, in extremely hot weather, people should drink moderately cold water and avoid chilled drinks. A senior army officer who is resident of Askari 2, Chaklala Scheme 3, Rawalpindi, has shared this message on WhatsApp, urging people to take care during sizzling weather.
