ISLAMABAD: In a significant enhancement of Pakistan’s arsenal, the Pakistan Army successfully conducted the training launch of the Fatah-II Guided Rocket System on Wednesday, according to a statement from the military’s media wing.
The Fatah-II system, boasting a range of 400 kilometers, is equipped with a state-of-the-art navigation system, unique trajectory, and maneuverable features. This missile is capable of engaging targets with high precision and overcoming any missile defense system.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the launch aimed to perfect the drills and procedures associated with the system.
“Fatah-II is being inducted into Pakistan’s Artillery Divisions for stand-off, precision engagement of deep targets. The rocket system will significantly enhance the reach and lethality of the Pakistan Army’s conventional arsenal,” said the ISPR.
The launch was observed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Pakistan Army, senior officers from the three services, and dedicated scientists and engineers.
“The President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Chief of Army Staff, and all Service Chiefs congratulated the participating troops and scientists on this outstanding achievement,” the ISPR added.
