An anti-terrorism court in Lahore has issued a restraining order preventing the authorities from apprehending Shafqat, the father of the underage driver accused of causing a fatal road accident in Lahore that claimed the lives of six family members.

Shafqat, who is mentioned in the initial accident report as the owner of the vehicle involved, has been granted interim bail until November 27.
The tragic incident occurred on November 11 in Defence Phase 7 of Lahore when an underage driver, reportedly Shafqat’s son, caused a collision resulting in the deaths of six individuals from the same family. Subsequently, the Lahore traffic police detained the underage driver in connection with the accident.
Following the accident, the Lahore Traffic Police announced their intention to file First Information Reports (FIRs) against underage drivers, preventing them from gaining admission to educational institutions.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, Mustansar Feroze, stated in a video message that while they usually opt for a lenient approach by issuing fines to underage drivers, FIRs would be filed to safeguard the public from potential harm.
