Anchor Ayesha Jahanzeb has filed a lawsuit against TV personality Dr. Omar Adil, accusing him of using offensive language about her on his YouTube channel. This legal action follows previous cases: one filed by PML-N leader Azma Bukhari and another initiated by Ghareeda Farooqui. Ayesha Jahanzeb’s case represents the third complaint against Dr. Adil.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has placed Dr. Adil in custody concerning these allegations. On Wednesday, a judicial magistrate in Lahore ordered Dr. Adil to be held on judicial remand, denying the FIA’s request for physical remand. This decision comes in response to claims that Dr. Adil used vulgar language towards women.
Dr. Adil was arrested by the FIA on Tuesday, following a cybercrime complaint lodged by Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari. The case highlights ongoing concerns about online conduct and the legal ramifications for public figures involved in such controversies.
