Privatization Minister Abdul Aleem Khan lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his team’s efforts on Saturday, stressing that Pakistan now requires constructive, rather than destructive, politics.
The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) president marked the first anniversary of the general elections with a special event at the party’s office on Upper Mall Road. The gathering, attended by party leaders including the Federal Minister for the Ministry of Food Security and Research, featured a cake-cutting ceremony.
Aleem Khan voiced his support for the coalition government at both federal and provincial levels, underscoring their ongoing collaboration for the country’s progress.
He remarked, “There has not been a single scandal in any department, which is also a credit to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.” He praised the prime minister and his team, adding, “If the government is given another four years, Pakistan will be in a much better place. We must all play our part. If the country survives, so will the dignity of its people.”
He urged the nation to look at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to assess the improvements in hospitals, schools, and institutions, noting, “The nation’s dignity is tied to the people’s politics.”
Aleem Khan also questioned those who had governed for the last four years, saying, “Why didn’t they deliver rivers of milk and honey? Let the people find relief. It’s time to reject negative politics.”
The federal minister highlighted ongoing progress in addressing inflation, the cost of living, and banking sector reforms. “The aspirations of those who wished for the country’s bankruptcy have been crushed. By strengthening the economy, we are easing the people’s hardships,” he added.
Reflecting on the progress made in the past year, Aleem Khan emphasized, “A year ago, Pakistan was in a far worse position. Today, the country is in a better and more positive state. Pakistan now needs constructive politics, not destructive ones.”
