Abdul Aleem Khan Celebrates Achievements of Pakistan-China Business Conference

Abdul Aleem Khan, the Minister for Privatization and Board of Investment, praised the successful outcome of the recent Pakistan-China Business Conference in Shenzhen, China. He highlighted the substantial progress made in strengthening bilateral trade relations between the two countries.

In discussions with the media in China, Khan expressed contentment over the active participation of 500 Chinese and 100 Pakistani companies in the conference, seeing it as a promising sign for future collaborations. He emphasized the signing of 32 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the conference, which cover various sectors like agriculture, fertilizer, IT, mobile, and pharmaceuticals, bolstering trade ties between Pakistan and China.

Khan underscored the practical promotion of business-to-business activities through these agreements, ensuring direct exports from Pakistan to China and fostering enduring partnerships. Stressing the importance of effective communication in business dealings, he highlighted its role in building trust and fostering cooperation.

He applauded the significance of the Pakistan-China Business Conference in advancing the vision of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in economic development. Khan commended Prime Minister Imran Khan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with China, noting significant progress in this regard.

Moreover, Khan mentioned that during the Prime Minister’s visit to China, detailed discussions were held regarding the promotion of business activities between the two countries. Meetings were also conducted between Ministers for the Board of Investment and Commerce and chief executive officers of major Chinese companies.

Khan emphasized that this was an excellent opportunity for Pakistani businesses to attract Chinese investments, ultimately boosting exports. He indicated that the conference provided a platform for long-term business ties between the two sides.

Furthermore, Khan highlighted the significant investment opportunities in various sectors including the hotel industry, tourism, culture, sports goods, textile, decoration industry, and airport designing. He emphasized Pakistan’s vast potential and abundant natural resources, stating that promoting business activities on a large scale would drive the economy and generate employment opportunities for the youth.

Additionally, Khan conducted consultative meetings with important Chinese business groups, discussing bilateral proposals and finalizing plans to further enhance cooperation.
