Severe rains have damaged roughly 1.6 million tonnes of wheat supply that was kept in government warehouses in the Larkana division.
According to information, the Sindh government was unable to protect wheat stock during the recent rains, and 600,000 tonnes of wheat stock was kept in warehouses as well as 10,000 tonnes of wheat that were left out in the open in the Larkana region were entirely destroyed.

It is anticipated that flour costs, which are now being sold at Rs120 per kg due to damage to the wheat stock, would reach Rs200 per kg in the near future.
Following the setting of the Rs4,000 wheat support price by the Sindh government, wheat is also being hoarded at this time.
