The Punjab Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program was inaugurated in Lahore by Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
The scheme will cost 100 billion rupees to provide food at a reasonable price to eight million families.

The Punjab Chief Minister spoke at the event and stated that under the initiative, low-income households will be able to purchase flour, ghee, oil, and beans from the registered grocery store at a 40% discount.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi promised to provide additional funding for the Punjab Ehsaas Rashan Raiyat Program in the future, hailing it as an outstanding initiative for providing relief to the disadvantaged groups in society.
