ISLAMABAD: Pakistani actress and entrepreneur Komal Aziz Khan has addressed common misconceptions about women in the entertainment industry. She revealed that even her family once believed she would be caught in a scandal — a prediction that, according to her, never came true.
Speaking on Subh ka Samaa, Komal shared that when she began acting, many assumed she would soon face controversy or a romantic affair. “Everyone thought I’d end up in a scandal, but that never happened,” she said confidently.
Actress Says She Faced No Trolling or Misconduct
Komal emphasized that she never experienced trolling, mistreatment, or professional misconduct during her acting career. She described her time in showbiz as respectful and free from scandals.

Revisiting her earlier decision to quit acting, Komal said that women in showbiz face limited career longevity. She explained that actresses often get leading roles based on their looks, and opportunities shrink as they age.
“In this field, women have less time. After a certain age, roles change or stop coming altogether,” she noted.
However, she clarified that she hasn’t closed the door on acting completely. “It’s not that I’ll never act again — anything can happen in the future,” she added.
Business Brought More Challenges Than Showbiz
Komal, who now runs her own business, revealed that she faced more criticism and false allegations as an entrepreneur than as an actress. She recounted how several female employees resigned from her company without serving notice and later defamed her online after she refused to pay pending salaries.
“They even made fake accounts on LinkedIn to defame me,” Komal alleged, calling it ironic that she faced trolling in business after maintaining a clean image in showbiz.
Acting Pays More, But Business Offers Perspective
Komal admitted that acting and modeling are far more lucrative than running a business. She said that when hiring models for her brand’s campaigns, she realized how well the entertainment industry compensates them.
“I get an idea of how much money models make in a single photoshoot,” she said with a smile. Despite the difference in earnings, Komal believes that entrepreneurship gives her purpose and perspective.
