On Thursday, a hand grenade was used to target the home of former minister Sheharyar Khan Afridi in Kohat.
The attack happened at the ancestral home of the former federal minister and leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Kohat.
Police claimed to have CCTV evidence of the assault. CCTV footage clearly shows that the hand grenade exploded beyond the gate, according to authorities.
According to the police, the attack did not result in any fatalities or injuries. Police claimed that the assault is being looked into.
PTI leader Senator Ejaz Chaudhry said on Twitter that Shahryar Afridi’s home was the target of a cracker bomb attack. He prayed, “May Allah protect him and destroy the enemies of Pakistan.”
