Kia Lucky Motors has announced substantial price cuts on its Sportage lineup in Pakistan, with reductions of up to PKR 1.85 million effective from May 1, 2025. The move comes amid growing consumer demand for more competitive pricing in the country’s SUV segment.
The new ex-factory prices under the limited-time offer are:
- Sportage L HEV: Reduced from Rs 12,850,000 to Rs 10,999,000
- Sportage L FWD: Reduced from Rs 11,825,000 to Rs 9,999,000
- Sportage L Alpha: Reduced from Rs 9,499,000 to Rs 8,499,000
Kia has positioned the discount as a first-come, first-served offer while stocks last, though no end date has been specified. The company has yet to confirm whether customers who pre-booked or recently purchased at the previous prices will be eligible for refunds or adjustments.
The price cut follows mixed market reactions to the initial launch rates, which many potential buyers considered too steep. Analysts suggest the move may be part of a broader strategy to boost mid-year sales or test price sensitivity in a highly competitive segment.
Kia’s aggressive pricing is expected to place pressure on rivals such as Hyundai Tucson, MG HS, and Proton X70, potentially triggering a wider round of SUV price realignments in Pakistan.
