ISLAMABAD: Police have arrested the suspect in the murder of 17-year-old TikTok star Sana Yousaf. The accused, identified as “Kaka,” is currently in custody and under investigation.
Investigators later traced the suspect to Faisalabad, where he had fled after the murder. Police successfully apprehended him, and initial questioning revealed that he claimed to be a friend of the victim.
Authorities had earlier suspected that the shooter was a guest in Sana Yousaf’s home that evening. Police now believe the same individual carried out the fatal attack. Sana, originally from Upper Chitral, had gained popularity on TikTok with a sizable following.
The case was initially registered at Islamabad’s Sumbal Police Station based on a complaint filed by Sana’s mother. In her statement, she told police that while the suspect was unknown at the time, she would be able to identify him if seen.
According to the FIR, the incident occurred around 5 PM on Monday when the suspect entered Sana’s residence and shot her twice in the chest before fleeing the scene.
She was rushed to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where she was pronounced dead.
