JUI Leaders
Senior Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader Wadera Maulvi Ghulam Sarwar Mosiani and his associate Maulvi Amanullah were tragically killed in an armed attack in Khuzdar, Balochistan, on Saturday. Unidentified gunmen ambushed their vehicle, opening fire and leaving two others critically injured.
According to the district administration, the JUI leaders were returning to their hometown, Zehri, after attending the Soorab sit-in when they were attacked near the Farwani area.
Armed assailants, who were reportedly lying in wait, launched a sudden and indiscriminate assault on their vehicle. The attack resulted in the immediate deaths of Maulvi Ghulam Sarwar and Maulvi Amanullah, while their companions, Sibghatullah and Muhammad Ramzan, sustained severe injuries.
Following the shooting, the perpetrators managed to flee the scene before law enforcement could intervene.
Authorities quickly responded to the incident, shifting the deceased and injured to a nearby hospital for medical assistance and legal formalities. After completing necessary procedures, the bodies of the slain leaders were handed over to their grieving families.
