WASHINGTON: The Joe Biden administration wants strong ties with Pakistan, according to US Senator Chris Hollen revealed on Wednesday.
According to Senator Hollen, the US is working with Pakistan to address the hazards brought on by the devastating floods, and the Joe Biden administration has already provided $75 million in help to bolster Islamabad’s recovery efforts.
The US legislator responded to a question regarding Joe Biden’s remark regarding Pakistan’s nuclear programme by saying that it was not Washington’s policy and that the State Department had also released a clarifying statement.
Senator Chris Hollen lauded Pakistan’s effort in the fight against terrorism and stated that Islamabad had incurred significant financial and human costs.
He stated that the United States wants to see political stability in Pakistan and that they are anticipating a peaceful transfer of power following the nation’s general elections.
Senator Chris Hollen said there is no truth to the allegations that the US was involved in the ouster of Imran Khan’s government and that he and the Imran Khan government worked hard to strengthen ties between Pakistan and the US.
