ISLAMABAD: The Government of Japan has announced that an eligibility test will be conducted in Islamabad on multiple dates this year. The test aims to facilitate Pakistanis who wish to obtain work visas and explore employment opportunities in Japan. According to official details, the Japan Foundation has introduced a “Basic” test for Pakistani nationals interested in joining Japan’s workforce.
Purpose of the Test and Language Requirements
The Japan Foundation administration stated that the test is designed to evaluate candidates’ basic communication skills in the Japanese language. This assessment will help determine whether applicants possess the necessary language proficiency to live and work in Japan. Moreover, the foundation emphasized that language ability is an essential requirement for effective workplace communication and cultural integration.
Test Schedule and Venue in Islamabad
The administration has announced that the test will be held in Islamabad on October 11, November 1, and November 8, 2025. The designated venue for the examination is the S.K.A.N.S. School of Accountancy F.E.T. Center in Islamabad. Additionally, the organizers have limited participation to a maximum of 500 candidates per session. This measure ensures smooth testing and fair evaluation of all applicants.
Pathway to Japan’s Skilled Worker Program
Success in this test is mandatory for those who wish to apply for Japan’s Specified Skilled Worker Program. The program allows foreign workers to gain legal employment and residence in Japan in various skilled sectors. Consequently, passing the eligibility test will open doors to better career opportunities and long-term stability for Pakistani workers.
Boosting Employment Opportunities for Pakistanis
This initiative reflects Japan’s growing demand for skilled workers and its commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with Pakistan. Furthermore, it provides Pakistani youth with a clear pathway to secure well-paying jobs abroad. The Japan Foundation’s efforts aim to ensure that candidates entering the Japanese job market are well-prepared and linguistically capable.
