Defrin stated that Israeli troops have started circling the outskirts of Gaza City, describing Hamas as a “battered and bruised” guerrilla force. “We have commenced the preliminary operations, and the first stages of the attack on Gaza City are underway. IDF forces are now holding the city’s outskirts,” he said.
