Turkish Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu held a detailed meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Wednesday, focusing on regional security challenges and the escalating situation with India.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office, Ambassador Neziroglu conveyed Turkey’s strong solidarity with Pakistan in the wake of India’s recent unprovoked violation of Pakistani sovereignty — an act that resulted in civilian casualties.
Both sides emphasized the importance of close coordination and reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation on regional issues.
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also reached out to Deputy Prime Minister Dar to express Ankara’s unwavering support for Islamabad. He condemned India’s aggression, particularly the targeting of civilians, and expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security environment in South Asia.
The two leaders agreed to maintain close diplomatic engagement and collaborate on strategies to address the evolving situation.
