Babil Khan, son of late Bollywood superstar Irrfan Khan, paid a heartfelt tribute to his father on what would have been Irrfan’s 59th birthday. Sharing an emotional post on Instagram, Babil reflected on the cherished memories he had with his father and the special bond they shared.
The post included two memorable photos. In one, the father-son duo is seen sleeping in an awkward position, yet both appear completely at ease, capturing their playful and loving relationship.
In the second image, a grown-up Babil is pictured on the sets of Irrfan’s last film, English Medium, engaged in conversation with his father, highlighting their closeness even during work. Babil recalled how, as a child, he used to sleep on his father’s back, jokingly calling it “sofa mode activated” before jumping on him.
Irrfan Khan, acclaimed for films such as Slumdog Millionaire, The Lunchbox, and English Medium, passed away in 2020 at the age of 53 after battling a rare form of cancer called Neuroendocrine Tumour.
His untimely death left a profound impact on the world, the Bollywood industry, and most personally, his 27-year-old son.
Babil has often spoken about his deep and unique bond with his father, describing it as unexplainable. The Instagram post not only celebrated his father’s life and legacy but also shared an intimate glimpse into their relationship, showing the warmth, love, and playful moments that defined their connection.
Through his tribute, Babil expressed both grief and gratitude, reminding fans and followers of the enduring influence and memory of the legendary actor in his personal life and the lives of millions of admirers worldwide.
