Tehran: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Saturday denied any involvement in the reported attack on the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, distancing Iran from the incident and attributing responsibility to what it described as hostile regional actors.
In an official statement, the IRGCโs public relations office rejected claims linking Tehran to the attack, which were highlighted in a recent media report. The statement emphasized that the incident bears no connection to the Islamic Republic of Iran and should not be interpreted as part of its military or strategic operations.
Tehran rejects allegations and outlines position
According to the IRGC, Iran has previously made its list of potential targets clear and operates within defined parameters. Therefore, officials argued that the Riyadh incident falls outside those stated objectives.
Moreover, the statement accused โZionist elementsโ of orchestrating the attack as part of a broader effort to escalate tensions. The IRGC maintained that such actions aim to mislead regional actors and provoke instability.
Warning issued over regional security concerns
Meanwhile, the IRGC urged countries across West Asia to remain vigilant against what it described as a coordinated campaign by the American-Zionist alliance to destabilize the region.
Furthermore, the statement reiterated earlier warnings issued by Iran regarding alleged destabilizing activities. It called on neighboring and Muslim-majority countries to exercise caution and avoid actions that could further inflame tensions.
The remarks come amid heightened geopolitical strain across the Middle East, where multiple incidents have raised concerns about escalating conflict and competing narratives over responsibility.
