TEHRAN – Iran’s top military official, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Pakistan for its support during Iran’s recent conflict with Israel, according to a report by Iranian state media.
In a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, General Mousavi thanked both the Pakistani government and its people for standing by Iran during a critical period of regional tension.
The two military leaders also exchanged views on regional security dynamics and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing mutual defence cooperation between the two nations.
During the call, General Mousavi criticized the role of the United States and several Western countries, accusing them of not only supporting Israel militarily but also engaging in widespread propaganda efforts against Iran throughout the conflict.
The discussion highlighted the deepening military and diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Iran amidst a rapidly evolving regional security environment.
