Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, on Wednesday extended heartfelt appreciation to the people and leadership of Pakistan for their consistent support and solidarity with Iran during its confrontation with Israeli aggression.
In a special statement, the ambassador emphasized that the Iranian people will always remember the strong sense of brotherhood shown by Pakistan. He described the recent developments as a “historic” triumph for the Muslim world, highlighting Iran’s success in compelling a powerful adversary to agree to a ceasefire.
Ambassador Moghaddam thanked Pakistan for standing firmly with Iran, particularly acknowledging President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Field Marshal General Asim Munir. He also expressed gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif for their support.
Further extending his appreciation, Moghaddam praised the Pakistani parliament, political parties, religious leaders, and media for their unified and principled stance. He commended the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its steadfast advocacy for Iran at global platforms, including the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
He concluded by highlighting the longstanding and resilient nature of Iran-Pakistan relations, rooted in mutual respect and shared values.
