Invincibles Post Strong Total After Winning Toss
Invincibles continued their winning momentum with a commanding 30-run victory over Challengers in the National Women’s T20 Tournament. The match was played at Ghani Glass Cricket Ground and marked Invincibles’ second consecutive win.
With this victory, Invincibles moved to the top of the points table with four points. Challengers, on the other hand, remain winless after losing both of their opening matches, including a previous defeat against Stars.
After winning the toss, captain Muneeba Ali chose to bat first. Her decision proved effective as the team posted a competitive total of 168 for 5 in 20 overs. The batting unit delivered a solid and consistent performance from start to finish.
Batting Brilliance Powers Invincibles
Opening batter Gull Feroza set the tone early with an aggressive innings. She scored 43 runs off just 24 balls, hitting seven boundaries. Her quick start gave Invincibles early momentum.
Maham Anees matched her effort with another 43 runs, coming off 38 deliveries. Her innings included three fours and two sixes. Both players finished as joint top scorers for their side.
Iram Javed added crucial runs in the middle overs. She scored a brisk 35 off 25 balls, including three boundaries and a six. Her contribution helped push the total to a challenging level.
For Challengers, Neelam Mushtaq and captain Diana Baig claimed two wickets each. Arijah Haseeb picked up one wicket, but the bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs.
Bowlers Seal Comfortable Victory
Chasing 169, Challengers faced early pressure and could not keep up with the required run rate. Despite some resistance, they were restricted to 138 for 8 in their 20 overs.
Natalia Pervaiz played a quick knock of 31 runs from 17 balls. She hit four boundaries and a six, providing brief hope for her team. Arijah Haseeb remained unbeaten on 37 off 37 balls, but her effort was not enough to secure victory.
Invincibles’ bowling attack performed with discipline and control. Momina Riasat and Noreen Yaqoob led the attack with two wickets each. Syeda Aroob Shah and Ambar Kainat contributed with one wicket apiece.
