The official confirmed that Israel was given advance notice before the operation, as Washington formally joined Israel’s ongoing air campaign against Iran.
Announcing the strikes, Trump declared, “We have completed our very successful attack on the three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.”
According to Axios, which cited senior Israeli officials, the U.S. used B-2 stealth bombers in the operation. The report also confirmed that Israel had been informed ahead of time by the Trump administration.
The U.S. reportedly deployed six 15-tonne bunker-buster bombs on the Fordow nuclear facility, while submarine-launched cruise missiles targeted sites at Natanz and Isfahan. In total, 30 Tomahawk missiles were fired from American submarines, aimed at crippling Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
Fox News added that Trump described the strikes in detail during a conversation with television host Sean Hannity, emphasizing the scale and precision of the operation.
