The United Arab Emirates has launched a new multi-entry visit visa, offering foreign nationals the flexibility to travel and visit relatives or friends without the need for a local sponsor or guarantor. This visa allows for stays of 30, 60, or 90 days, catering to various travel needs, Gulf News reported.
Applicants can use this visa to visit close family members, including parents, children, siblings, and spouses, by providing proof of their relationship (such as marriage or birth certificates). Friends are also eligible, but must provide valid reasons for their visit, such as attending important events or spending time with close associates.
Applications can be submitted online through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) website, via the mobile app, or at service centers across the UAE.
Required documents include:
- A valid passport with at least six months of validity
- Two recent passport-sized photographs
- Proof of financial stability
- Employment or business verification (e.g., salary certificate, partnership contract, or business license)
The visa fees are as follows: AED 300 (approx. Rs22,755) for a 30-day visa, AED 500 (approx. Rs37,925) for a 60-day visa, and AED 700 (approx. Rs53,095) for a 90-day visa. Applicants must also pay a refundable deposit of AED 2,000 (approx. Rs151,700) as financial security, along with minor administrative charges. Additionally, medical insurance is mandatory, with costs ranging from AED 40 to AED 90 (approx. Rs3,034 to Rs6,825), depending on the visa duration.
