Two British-Pakistani Professionals Receive Prestigious Honors in the UK

Asim Receives the Global Islamic Finance Leadership Award 2024, While Ahmed Junaid is Recognized in the Cyber Industry Category.

LONDON: At a prestigious awards ceremony, two prominent British-Pakistanis were celebrated for their significant contributions to Islamic finance and the cybersecurity industry.

Asim Khan, the founder of an Islamic finance group, was honored with the Global Islamic Finance Leadership Award 2024. Meanwhile, Ahmed Junaid, a leading network and cybersecurity expert, received the award in the cyber industry category.

These accolades recognize Asim’s outstanding achievements in advancing Islamic finance globally, and Ahmed’s exceptional work in cybersecurity for both UK local governments and the private sector.

Asim Khan, renowned for his roles at PwC, KPMG, and Deutsche Bank, has made substantial contributions across various sectors, including real estate and healthcare. In his acceptance speech, Asim expressed his gratitude and dedication to the Islamic finance community, emphasizing the importance of ethical and sustainable practices in global finance.

Ahmed Junaid, known for his rare double Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) and Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certifications, has made remarkable strides in his field. He has worked with high-profile clients, including Tesco International, Shell Global, and ABB. Ahmed dedicated his award to his family, his team, and the notable achievers recognized at the event. He also highlighted his role in securing vital infrastructure for institutions like Transport for London and the British Houses of Parliament.

Both Asim and Ahmed’s achievements underscore the growing influence and excellence of British-Pakistani professionals on the global stage.
