Türkiye will assume command of the NATO Allied Reaction Force Amphibious Task Force Command and the Landing Force Command for the first time on July 1, the country’s National Defense Ministry announced on Monday.
As part of its NATO commitments, Türkiye will hold these command roles from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
In preparation, Türkiye’s Amphibious Task Force and Landing Force Command headquarters, along with its Marine Infantry Battalion Landing Force, will participate in the Dynamic Mariner/Flotex-25 exercise from March 24 to April 4, 2025.
The exercise will feature Turkish naval assets, including the TCG Sancaktar, TCG Bayraktar, TCG Oruc Reis, and TCG Gaziantep, alongside allied forces in Spain.
