Trump to make a ‘Very Big Announcement’ on Nov 15

As America gets ready to cast its ballots in the midterm elections, which according to polls could return control of Congress to the Republicans, Donald Trump seized the election-eve spotlight on Monday to flag an anticipated announcement on a new White House run.

The former president intensified his hints that he would run for office again in 2024 because he has never come to terms with the fact that he lost the 2020 election.

Not to take away from tomorrow’s crucial election, which is extremely important… On the eve of elections that will determine who controls the House of Representatives and the Senate, he told a cheering crowd in Ohio, “I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, November 15 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

President Joe Biden made a final appeal during the brief mention, which came at the end of a speech that was characteristically dark and rambling.

Republicans are expected to win the election and take back at least some of the power in the government.

Republicans’ legislative agenda for the final two years of Vice President Biden’s first term would be derailed even if they only take control of the House of Representatives, which might weaken US backing for Ukraine’s resistance against Russia.

At a historically Black university in Bowie, Maryland, close to Baltimore, Biden enthusiastically addressed the crowd, saying, “Our lifetimes are going to be shaped by what happens.” “We know deep down that our democracy is in danger, and we know that now is the time to stand up for it.”

He told Democrats, “The power is in your hands. So cast your ballot, and go vote.

The shift that has been occurring within the Republican Party ever since former real estate tycoon Donald Trump shocked the world by defeating Hillary Clinton for president in 2016 would also be accelerated by an influx of far-right Trump supporters in Congress.

On Nov. 15, the day of Trump’s announcement, former vice president Mike Pence will publish a book that is thought to be a part of his own potential campaign launch.

Trump made his announcement as he deals with a number of mounting legal issues, including several investigations that may result in indictments. They include the ongoing state and federal investigations into his attempts to rig the results of the 2020 presidential election as well as the investigation into hundreds of documents with classified markings that the FBI seized from his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.

Trump has also been subpoenaed by the House committee looking into the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, and last month a letter to his attorneys stated that he must testify, either in person at the Capitol or via videoconference, “beginning on or about” November 14 and continuing for several days if necessary.

Trump won Ohio by 8 points in both 2016 and 2020, a state that was once thought to be a bellwether. His choice to support Vance in the state’s fiercely competitive Senate primary propelled the political outsider to victory in a crowded Republican field, serving as an early test of his endorsement influence.

Vance, a writer, investor, and former Trump opponent, is a member of the new generation of Republican leaders who have embraced Trump’s “American First” stances, including his isolationist foreign policy and emphasis on immigration.
