Trade Limits
On Friday, the United States Commerce Department added 42 Chinese companies in a government export control list due to their support for Moscow’s military and defense industry, including the supply of US-origin integrated circuits.
Additionally, seven entities from Finland, Germany, India, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom were added to the trade export control list.

The Commerce Department stated that these circuits encompass microelectronics employed by Russia for precision guidance systems in missiles and drones used against civilian targets in Ukraine.
Assistant Secretary for Export Enforcement Matthew Axelrod emphasized, “Todayโs additions to the Entity List provide a clear message: if you supply the Russian defense sector with U.S.-origin technology, we will find out, and we will take action.”
China condemned this US action as “economic coercion and unilateral bullying,” urging the US to rectify its practices and cease its unreasonable suppression of Chinese firms, as stated by Chinaโs Ministry of Commerce.
The US adds entities to the US Entity List when it perceives them as threats to US national security or foreign policy, demanding suppliers to secure typically challenging licenses before shipping goods to those entities.
In conclusion, US Commerce Department imposes trade limits on 42 Chinese firms for aiding Moscow’s military and defense sector.
