The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a health advisory for Hajj 2025, setting forth strict health requirements for pilgrims.
According to a statement from the spokesperson for Religious Affairs, individuals with serious health conditions will not be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage.
Due to the severe weather conditions anticipated during the Hajj season, the advisory stipulates that only healthy and physically fit pilgrims will be permitted to perform Hajj.
Those with medical complications related to the kidney, heart, lungs, liver, or cancer, as well as individuals with dementia or infectious diseases such as tuberculosis (TB) and whooping cough, will be prohibited from participating.
Additionally, the advisory states that children under 12 years of age and pregnant women will not be allowed to perform Hajj.
The spokesperson highlighted that all pilgrims must receive vaccinations for meningitis, COVID-19, seasonal influenza, and polio before embarking on the pilgrimage.
