BEIJING/ISLAMABAD: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan commended China for its support in efforts to end the war in Gaza and advocate for a two-state solution.
Speaking at the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in Beijing, Prince Faisal emphasized the necessity of an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, along with an uninterrupted flow of aid into the enclave.
He urged for enhanced collaboration to create a reliable and irreversible path towards the two-state solution, highlighting that ongoing dialogue is essential for regional peace.
Prince Faisal also condemned foreign interference in the Middle East and stressed the importance of preventing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction in the region.
On the same day, China hosted a summit centered on the Israel-Hamas conflict, during which Chinese President Xi Jinping pledged additional humanitarian aid for Gaza and called for an international peace conference.
The summit, which included heads of state from Egypt, the UAE, Bahrain, Tunisia, and other nations, aimed to address China’s growing trade relations and security concerns stemming from the Israel-Hamas war.
