Domestic Workers
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that they now offer recruitment of overseas domestic workers from 29 countries, including Pakistan.
In July 2023, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, India, and Ethiopia led the rankings for overseas recruitment.
Saudi Arabia’s Musaned platform reported that it registered a total of 75,653 recruitment contracts in July this year.

The most sought-after job positions for recruitment included female and male domestic workers _ house guards, chauffeurs, house farmers, and cooks.
In an effort to regulate the domestic labor market within the KSA, Saudi labor authorities have taken some steps recently.
The Ministry of Human Resources launched Musaned, a platform designed to educate employers and workers about their rights and responsibilities.
It also provides information about services such as visa issuance, recruitment requests, and the contractual relationship between employers and workers.
Musaned streamlines the recruitment process, enabling customers to access all recruitment offices in the kingdom. It assists in selecting the most suitable options based on factors such as pricing and feedback from previous clients.
Additionally, the Ministry of Human Resources has established maximum cost limits for hiring overseas domestic workers from different countries.
The fees range from SR9,500 for workers from Uganda to SR6,900 for workers from Ethiopia, exclusive of VAT.
The ministry emphasizes the necessity of using Musaned as the official recruitment platform for conducting contracts.
